McCain done pissed off the wrong man, Letterman
Can you imagine ANYONE dissing Johnny Carson or Ed Sullivan? Johnny’s persona was highly jovial but everyone knew he was a kingmaker and not to be fucked with. Now, Letterman is no Carson, simply because of the existence of Leno and cable TV, meaning he has to share the power that Carson held singlehandedly. But, living and working in the shadow of that giant (both he and Jay Leno) must make them a little extra-sensitive too disrespect. Well, McCain provided Letterman with just the motivation he needed to carry-on.
I remember the old Letterman when he used to follow Carson. Conan O’brien stole that thunder, but, man, Letterman was something! I miss that Letterman. Elevator races, Andy Kaufman beat down, Monkey cam, etc…

Maybe I’ll make a list of reasons why McCain wants to suspend his campaign, or is afraid to debate Senator Obama or the ultimate top 10 list.
