Country First or Victory First? And What’s up with Bill?

BO is going to have to ask McCain if he honestly believes that his selection of Sarah Palin as his running mate was made with the country’s best interest at heart or was it a political choice in order to improve his chance of winning.

Also, what happened to McCain’s conviction? I would respect him (a little) if he took a position and kept it longer than a few hours, if he didn’t change his position according to either what his staff is telling him or the polls. That says to me that he is just looking for a way to manipulate the voters and that, my friends, does not inspire people. No wonder other Republicans are turning on him and Palin. It’s because he is taking the rather significant opportunity the selection of her gave them and throwing it under the bus.

Some would argue (myself included) it was inevitable, that she was not ready for the national political game. Inexperienced as Obama may be, he had gotten his feet wet in National politics before his campaign began, and the Illinois political machine is as tough a state political game to play as there is, not to mention the “grooming” he got during the primary process. But, as master Yoda himself, Bill Clinton, stated on CNBC, “Underestimate her, do not.  a compelling candidate, she is…” etc…

By the way, what is Bill up to praising her in the manner that he did? He almost sounded like he would vote for her if he wasn’t compelled to support his own friggin’ party!!! Something about him just rubs me the wrong way. I have trust issues with his manipulative skills. I remember when he came on the Arsenio Hall Show back in 91 and played the saxophone, all Kenny G-esque, and all my friends thought he was the shit (for a white boy)! I thought: This motherfucker ain’t authentic! Kudos for the 90’s economy and what not but after the welfare reform and housing reform bills that disproportionately and negatively affected African Americans, I knew I’d been right about him.

What do you y’all think?
