Bradley Effect Debunked?

Nothing vexes me more than discussions of the Bradley Effect. It’s like they want to create it, whether it exists or not. I know the media has to keep this interesting until election day for ratings sake, but must they insult White People in the process? I mean, the Bradley Effect essentially means that there are a bunch of white people out there screaming and hollering “Yes, We Can, Yes We Can, Yes We can,”  but come game time they are gonna say, “Wait a minute! What am I doing??? He’s BLACK!” Reminds me of one of my favorite scenes from Lethal Weapon 2

And Eddie Murphy prophesied the Joe Six-Pack Effect in Delirious

Both are funny. Kinda.

Well, then I read the following article and I thought… well, read it and tell me what you think:

The Bradley Effect Reconsidered

So, was there ever a Bradley Effect or did the media create it over the course of the past few months?

What do y’all think?

It also means that there are a bunch of White people out there screaming and hollering “Yes, We Can, Yes We Can, Yes We can” because Obama is Black and there’s the fear of being called racist if they don’t do so.

Once they get into the voting booths they may well vote differently. Some will just find an excuse not to vote at all.

The Bradley / Wilder Effect is based on Social Desirability Biashttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_desirability_bias

It would encompass both closeted racists and unprejudiced people who were afraid of being accused of racism.
